Surprisingly technical information from what seems like a home-spun video. I should show it to my kids to scare them out of venturing into the brush! Yikes!

I appreciated this explanation, more technical by far than the usual, because it makes much more sense. Previous explanations were not only inadequate, but aroused my suspicion, because I saw evidence to the contrary. For example: We've all heard nurses and doctors say, "Poison Ivy is not contagious." Oh, really? Maybe "technically" that's true, but in reality, when there is an invisible oil that can be spread and be transmitted from surface-to-surface...? That's contagious-enough for me!
