Hmmm, if a person is truly allergic to his/her pet and can't cuddle or love on it every day...why have a pet. It seems cruel to the pet to not hold it or groom it etc. I believe that most of my allergy reactions to my poodle are because his fur is contaminated with the pollens and stuff from outside. I am not sensitive to him in seasons where pollen allergies are not bothering me. My solution? I clip him very short during allergy season, for MY comfort not HIS. He doesn't really care what hairdo he sports, LOL. He is easier to wipe down if his fur is very short. By the way: I am allergic to my husband during allergy season also. His clothing must be removed and laundered if he has been working outdoors in the grass (my main allergen). LOL LOL.
