What a frightening story! This post will make you want to read the other articles to learn more about the signs and symptoms of caffeine allergy, that's for sure!

A very vivid account of what one person went through before being properly diagnosed with a caffeine allergy.

Not meant to be a PDR entry, this is the synopsis of one person's journey from the beginning, to the point of walking out on the other side. The book is for sale, but the intro includes some good solid information coming form one who walked the path.

This is undoubtedly for real, I suspected caffeine as a causative factor in humanity decaying by the day. I can well remember how coffee used to drive me into a hyperactive but enjoyable state which was just too good to be true. Continued ingestion will slowly grind your body and brain down - if your one who does not tolerate it. A real symptom to look out for is puffiness of the face. I would probably have gone on a similar mission to what this woman did if she had not done it so comprehensively but she has missed some scientific stuff that I may email her about. I think the genetic or perhaps dietary component she may have overlooked is glutathione. I think this antioxidant may be what ultimately metabolizes caffeine.

I have been trying to figure out why I get dizzy now and feel as though I am losing my intelligence. I do not do drugs and didnt know why I felt like I was getting dumber by the day. I had never even heard of anyone ever having a caffeine allergy. The whole idea seemed so foreign to me. An allergy to caffeine I thought? Yea... right. One day I was feeling good - hadn't been dizzy all day and was in great spirits.... I drank one can of dr. pepper and the dizziness began again - so noticing that there may be such a thing as a caffeine allergy, I googled the thought. Here were these article, and symptoms of things Ive had for years. Panic attacks, loss of intelligence, speech deterioration, dizziness, depression, procrastination, itchy skin, hormine imbalances more than I used to get, an all around differnce in me - that isn't a good one. Could they all be because I was being poisoned by caffeine? As a daily coffee and soda drinker - Im willing to believe so. As scared as I feel and almost horrified at the thought that I have been poisoning myself for so long - along with the general public.... I am going to cut out all caffeine and see if this helps. I have hope that it does, and if so - there will be the proof. Ill check back with all of you in a few months to let you know what happening and if there has been improvement. Wish me luck. *P.s. Do the brain cells grow back is what I am wondering? Will I get smart again like I used to be, b4 the caffeine ate away at the poisoned swollen brain cells?
