Did you know that caffeine allergy symptoms can often be misdiagnosed as bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, schizophrenia and other mental illnesses? I'm honestly not surprised, with the rate that people are being diagnosed with ADHD these days, I'd bet some are actually misdiagnoses of caffeine allergies. I strongly urge you to read this article!
This article is very educational and very scary. I never knew that people could be misdiagnosed with mental illness and actually be suffering from a caffeine allergy. The information in the article is very good.
This gives a brief overview of caffeine allergy, but I admit that I find it difficult to use the info here to decide the difference between allergy (with histamine involvement) and a sensitive (expected) reaction to the caffeine. I wish the allergy aspect was explained better.
