If you take an SSRI, and break out when you eat chocolate, you may not have a chocolate allergy-- you may have a seratonin sensitivity. Chocolate contains seratonin, and therefore by taking an SSRI and eating chocolate, seratonin amounts can be increased, and cause such sensitivity. This is a very informative article!
This article links people who take SSRI's and get a rash after eating chocolate with a seratonin sensitivity not a chocolate allergy. It would appear that they are overly sensitive to the amount of seratonin produced by the SSRI's and the digesting chocolate. Very interesting read.
